A Giveaway of The London Restoration

This Giveaway is Over. Thanks for participating!

I can’t wait to gush again about the lovely Rachel McMillan. If you love to read, do yourself a favor and follow Rachel on Facebook, Instagram, and around town (if you live in Toronto). Her book recommendations have never disappointed me. In fact, she’s pointed me in the direction of some of my favorite authors, including Mimi Matthews, Patti Callahan, and Kristina McMorris. All that, and she’s an incredibly talented writer herself! Don’t miss a chance to win her latest release, The London Restoration, below. (which I have touted in past post HERE)

Rachel was one of the first people I asked (okay, begged) to read In A Far-Off Land, and then waited in terror for her response. She loved it! I was thrilled. Here’s what she had to say:

Fans of Susan Meissner and Kristina McMorris will be spellbound by Landsem’s gorgeously researched historical. Told with heart-wrenching conviction, In A Far Off Land is a lyrical and thematic treatise on redemption, loss and love and wielded with such surprising grace the reader will have many breath-catching moments. Landsem is a treasure of inspirational historical fiction and In A Far Off Land is no less than a masterpiece.  ———-Rachel McMillan, author of The London Restoration and The Mozart Code

You can connect with Rachel McMillan on Facebook and Instagram. Look for her books at your favorite retailer or at her favorite indie bookstore, A Novel Spot Bookstore where you can find all her books, including The Mozart Code releasing this fall.

The secrets that might save a nation could shatter a marriage.

Madly in love, Diana Foyle and Brent Somerville married in London as the bombs of World War II dropped on their beloved city. Without time for a honeymoon, the couple spent the next four years apart. Diana, an architectural historian, took a top-secret intelligence post at Bletchley Park. Brent, a professor of theology at King’s College, believed his wife was working for the Foreign Office as a translator when he was injured in an attack on the European front.

Now that the war is over, the Somervilles’ long-anticipated reunion is strained by everything they cannot speak of. Diana’s extensive knowledge of London’s churches could help bring down a Russian agent named Eternity. She’s eager to help MI6 thwart Communist efforts to start a new war, but because of the Official Secrets Act, Diana can’t tell Brent the truth about her work.

Determined to save their marriage and rebuild the city they call home, Diana and Brent’s love is put to the ultimate test as they navigate the rubble of war and the ruins of broken trust.

If you’d like to win a copy of The London Restoration, the giveaway is going on over on my Instagram. (Not an instagrammer? leave me a comment below with your most recent or favorite historical fiction novel. I love recommendations)

In A Far Off Land, will be released in May 4th. That’s coming soon! It’s a story of murder, glamour, and redemption set in the glittering world of 1930s Hollywood. You can read more about HERE. And you can pre-order at Valley Bookseller or your favorite online bookstore.

Are you wondering why authors ask their readers to pre-order books? It’s because release day sales can really help an author’s chances of getting her book noticed on important platforms like Amazon, Goodreads, and Barnes & Noble. The first week of sales is super important and can mean the difference between a best-seller or a hidden gem. If you’re planning on buying the book anyway, consider pre-ordering. I’d appreciate it!

  6. I’m not on Instagram but here is my comment. I am reading Moloka’i by Alan Brennert right now. It is a compelling story about life on Moloka’i for people with Hansen’s disease or leprosy. It follows the life of Rachel Kalama who was taken from her parents at age 7 and sent to Moloka’i. She finds a rich life on this island of the dying.
